Introduction The Trofeo Alfasud is a points trophy for Alfasud-derived Alfa Romeo motor cars in club motorsport. Entrants can compete in AROCA, MSCA or other club motorsport events and earn points towards the trophy as long as they compete in their Trofeo-eligible car. The eligibility and points score rules are detailed below. Eligibility All Alfa Romeo vehicles with the Alfasud-derived boxer engine are eligible for the Trofeo Alfasud. This includes all 900 series vehicles - the Alfasud, Sprint, and 33 of all variations, including 16V. Competitors are allowed unlimited modifications to their vehicles, except the vehicle must retain a 900 series engine and gearbox (no dropping in a WRX motor and gearbox!). Note: Entry in the Trofeo does not affect the class you run within the AROCA club championships.
Classes In 2007 there will be no separate classes, and there will be a single trophy awarded at the AROCA annual dinner in 2008. PointsCompetition points will be earned at all AROCA and MSCA competition events: - Participation (official or competitor) - 3 points.
- Per sprint run completed - 1 point.
- Fastest trofeo car on the day - 2 points.
Note: Morning practice does not contribute to count of sprint runs. At least one lap must be completed in the sprint run. A bonus 2 points will be earned for competing in a non-qualifying event in a trofeo car. This event must be run by a car club under a permit from a national organising body (CAMS or AASA).
