Kevin Harper (Mr Magoo) from South Africa recently described on the Sprintformation mailing list fitting a Sud Sprint with 4 front discs by retaining the inboard discs and fitting 33 outboards.
"Yes it works - we were able to lock wheels at 160km/h. We used
brembo inner discs (look like Alfetta's) and spacers, took the
adjusters out of the inner calipers and used 33 struts and discs as
well as driveshafts. It all bolted together nicely, but there was too
much travel on the pedal which requires a bigger master cylinder, or 2
master cylinders (ideal for making an adjustable race setup). I have
pics of the install if anyone is interested.
PLEASE NOTE: will not work on 33 boxes as there are no threads in the
boltholes for the inner calipers. We removed the handbrake cable as
well, fitted a 33 rear axle, links, shocks, springs and handbrake
(direct swop - no mods other than fitting the 33 handbrake lever) - no
more car running away unattended!! The overall effct was to lower the
car as well, brake wear hasn't been noticed in the last year and the
brakes are now carefree and rock solid! Cowabunga"
Kevin kindly passed on a couple of pictures of the setup:
